Back Porch aka Sewing Room

Several of you have asked mom how the back porch, aka mom's new sewing room is going. It's going!

This is the lovely paneling that was there before. Isn't it homey? (If you're high, maybe!)

This is where the chimney was, for the wood stove. It made the wall really unusable, so mom had it torn down. No, she did not do it herself!

This is the wall where mom is going to make a drop down tilted work desk, for cutting, matching, and pinning.

See the lovely hole in the ceiling where the chimney was? Now you see it...

Now you don't!

The bottom half of this wall should be finished today. Mom is going to replace the window with a much more energy efficient one, or two.

Here is the color mom is going to paint the room. I know the photo is blurry, but you get the idea. Funny thing is, the color, which is blue, is called Pottery Red? Say what? The only thing mom doesn't know is which one to use for the trim. The light, light blue (which you can't really see), or the other blue, the bottom one. She will have to ask Auntie. Oh, Auntie...

If anyone has any ideas, or comments about that, don't be shy, speak up. Mom will listen. And then do what she wants. hee hee

WE love that color on the walls. That is bootiful. But we've seen the lovely artistry of other house photos and think that we will like whatever your human chooses!

Your Mom's 'sewing' room is going to be very nice !!! Mom is jealous ;)
Paint your trim light ,unless you want a monochrome room :)
We can't wait to see it finished.
What do you think of it Roxy ?
Have you been allowed out there yet ? :)

There is so much mischief to be had on the back porch, I have made the executive decision to have Roxy banned from the back porch. After asking Mom first, of course...

oh how exciting!
you can't see me, but i am jumping up and down with glee. i am so excited for you!
i love the colors you chose!
i think both trim colors will look great. just ask yourself if you are a high contrast person or a low contrast person. if you like high contrast go with the lighter color for the trim.

We love the new wall color! Why "pottery red," do you think? Maybe it's a misprint and supposed to be "pottery Shed" ... lol ... and We vote for white, too. White is just lovely accenting any statement-making color ...

What a big project! Looks like it is going to be very pretty when it's all done. I pick the lighter colour from the trim. :)
Love Clover xo

Oh wow your mom did a lot of work!! I love the blue and I think the middle blue would a pretty trim color (is that the one you mean?)

Gus pulls the chair chair and uses it for a leg/paw up!

We are so impressed with your mom. The sewing room is going to be wonderful. We love the blue and would probably pick the light for trim - makes the blue stand out. Like everyone else can't wait to see how it all turns out.
